Ich nähere mich dem 1.0 Release. Wird nicht mehr lange dauern. In der Metaebene werden aber noch ein paar Schleifarbeiten und Versiegelungen durchgeführt. Noch etwas Geduld.

@jaypatelani My Acorn RiscPC from 1994 which was the first machine I ran #NetBSD 1.0 on back in late 1994 or early 1995. Here it is earlier this year still running

So I’ve started building my own #GitHub. A bit of independence through self-hosting can never do any harm. 😎

Video of Project Genesis demo on IRIX (WIP)

Project Genesis demo now runs on IRIX 💎
Most of the porting work was done by Nuclear. I only fixed the 64 bit pointer stuff and some big endian changes for IRIX. It's not complete yet, one scene still doesn't render properly.

@2ndStar Immer diese lästigen Unterbrechungen… Essen, Trinken, Klo, Wäsche, Gadse… obwohl, Letzteres ist nicht lästig. 😻

and SGINet installer for IRIX 5 finally also adds icons and a new tab to the Icon Catalog (iconbook) 🥳

I am currently working on a software catalogue for #Previously. This will include a number of pre-installed packages. You can drag and drop a URL from archive.org into the package list, whereupon all the necessary information will be recognised and the catalogue entry form will be filled in automatically for you.

I really need a MIPS box that runs Windows NT. Does anyone have one I could borrow?

Hm… Serious thoughts: Should I make a #crowdfunding to get paid for all my projects? 🤔

@root42 Ich habe lange iStatMenus benutzt und bin vor einiger Zeit zu Mole umgestiegen. Aber das hier schaue ich mir auch mal an.

@flexion Many thanks for these insights. I really wish you would make (live) videos of your porting sessions with all your success steps and “happy little accidents”. 😁

@flexion Serious question: All your software ports for SGI, do you do them all on the "old way", so everything by hand, or do you use various agent tools?

Okay, the first compelling reason to get an iPhone Duo 😁
