This is a commissioned art piece. It is by Daniel Valero, entitled "20 Petal Flower". It was created in two Studios located in Mexico and Brooklyn. There will be an altar on the bottom for the public to place items for their loved ones. It also will light up at night. I took this last week or so as it was going up, on a beautiful day #Photography #NYC #AltText

Color photo taken of a colorful sculpture created for Dia de los Muertos. It has about a 6 foot base that's 3 feet high painted bright pink with some light pink geometric designs. The designs almost look like two arms reaching around and in the middle it looks like a stem with a straight line and three dots on it representing leaves. Above that is a triangle of flowers, all of the flowers are large round flowers with 10 bright orange petals and a yellow center with yellow strings coming out of the middle. There are four on the bottom, then three, then two and one forming the triangle. In the background are the buildings of Nomad (north of Madison, basically 23rd to 34th St around Broadway)

@dillyd @Badgardener @Starry1086 I've never heard yardarm, but I really thought 'three sheets to the wind' was standard everywhere that Eng was spoken. I was clearly wrong

@dillyd I use the spice because I'm allergic to citrus and many other spices. This is one of the few I use a lot. It's really good on fish.

@dillyd It very pretty and red, is that where we get the sumac that is used as a spice in cooking? It looks like it would be but I hadn't thought about where it comes from, it's one of the only things I can have that taste like lemon that I'm not allergic to 😊
