More insidious rat-f**ing and election interference by Meta and its owner.

Meta suspended Florida Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon's organizing account at Instagram yesterday. It was restored this morning.

We need to get more people to use the Fediverse.

Tweet by Morgan J. Freeman @mjfree Zuckerberg already admitted it wrongly suspended the No Kings Instagram account during the peak of a massive voter-mobilization effort. Now, seven days before the midterms, Zuckerberg has suspended the account Angie Nixon’s Senate campaign uses to organize Latino voters. At what point do repeated “mistakes” that suppress organizing by Democrats become an election-integrity crisis? Embedded tweet by Democrats Deliver @DemzDeliver 🚨 BREAKING: Meta has suspended Angie Nixon's organizing account ahead of the midterms. Nixon is the Democratic nominee for US Senate in Florida.

The Vera C. Rubin Observatory has discovered a new Dwarf Planet candidate in our solar system - 2026 ED138, a large, bright trans-Neptunian object orbiting beyond Pluto.

Distance from Sun: ~46 au (1 au is the average distance between the Earth and the Sun. Pluto has an average distance of 40 au)
Orbital tilt: 25°
Diameter: 600 - 1500 km

If confirmed, ED138 would be among the largest dwarf planets ever discovered in this region of the Solar System.

Tweet by Acyn @Acyn EL-SAYED: I get that the President takes personal offense to my first name. He doesn't mind as much when it's the Saudis who are funding his son-in-law's private equity. Doesn't seem to mind as much when it's the Qataris who are giving them a $400 million private jet. He just seems to have trouble pronouncing it when it's my name. I don't care how he pronounces my name. I don't even care that he remembers my whole name. Because he can just go on and call me senator after November.
