Whether a rope is a safety line, a leash, a tether, or the instrument of one's executioner… that decision always rests solely with the master and never with the dog.
In this historical period, I think there are currently many lessons that Europe can learn from the countries of the global majority and the wisdom they have (painfully) collected through the years. In my opinion, this is one of them.
