The world needs the UN. And the UN needs us all.

This United Nations Day, we reaffirm the importance of working together to tackle global challenges no nation can solve alone.

Over the years, the EU has worked hand in hand with the UN and partners around the world to address issues that affect us all, from peace and security to human rights, climate change, and global health.

And we will continue to work together.

Europe will always stand for international law and multilateralism.

Photo of a group of young children gathered around to read a large document titled "Nous, peoples des Nations Unies" (We the peoples of the United Nations). The text overlay reads "Diplomacy over division" in bold white letters across the bottom, with the European Union flag icon in the lower right corner.
