Black and white backlight photograph of a large eastern white cedar in the middle of the forest, showing its broad trunk curved to the left, surrounded by other smaller conifers with slender trunks. The oblique light of the end-of-day sun filters through the branches and needles, illuminating from behind and contrasting with the black silhouettes of the trees.
