Black and white photograph taken in the middle of a forest of ancient eastern white cedars, twisted and bent over. some with curved trunks. A white light filters through the foliage of the cedars in the upper part and contrasts with the dark trunks. In the foreground, roots and rocks in the half-light. The photo was taken during the day in the sun, but was darkened to give an impression of night.
