The observations were announced today by the International Astronomical Union Minor Planet Center (MPC). If confirmed, ED138 would be among the largest dwarf planets ever d

I got exactly the same vibes watching the reviews. And I love this part of it!

Apple has done some very smart things with some of its tiny AppKit controls when used via touch: they expand into a popup when interacted with. Think Music’s drag-and-hold volume slider, but for steppers and other micro buttons. I might even investigate this solution for some of the controls in Coppice for iPad

It’s been ten years and they still haven’t figured out how to put Face ID in a MacBook Pro? What are we doing?

My colleague @jonathanmuth pointed out that if you google for “how many planets in the solar system”, my post about dwarf planets ranks among the first. Was not expecting that. 😅

Either way, if you haven’t checked it out, give it a read. It’s a fascinating topic 😉

@keir For me it’s not about that I pay. I use Ivory so many times a day that of course I want such an important app to feel modern and integrated into the latest OS design.

More so I’m just really curious what kind of UI/UX delight the Tapbot guys will bring to the liquid glass world. As they always do.

Alexander Käßner @alexkaessner@mas.to

@talala Yeah, generally I’d agree. Considering the Tapbots team had to deal with private things, it’s also fully understandable. Hope it’s not hurting the business too much, especially now with it not even stretching large on the Duo.

Nevertheless, I was hoping that it was closer to being done by now. I still remember the teasing in WWDC 25’s keynote.

RE: tapbots.social/@ivory/11748480

Was wondering about the state of Ivory and its liquid glass update.

Seems like it’s going to be a big one. Though, as quoted in this thread will not come this year, but whenever it is ready. 🥲

@dtm @tchambers Because it was originally built well over 10 years ago and so much has changed since then. It’s not just the design. The UX and the architecture behind it all is getting a much-needed overhaul and improvement. It’s going to be so much better, we can promise that.
