It is telling that the Proton engineering manifesto states::

"Why has productivity not increased dramatically if everyone is using LLMs all the time already?"

Followed by a number of theories as to what needs to change to improve productivity with LLM use. The most obvious answer is ignored - that LLMs are not dramatically helping productivity and that their direct and indirect costs should be more keenly considered against any gains.
