#SilentSunday

A placid ocean at sunset, with small waves calmly rolling in. The sky has shades of peach, yellow, orange and reddish gray all around the sun. The Sun itself is sinking into a cloud layer just above the horizon, so its top half is yellow, and the bottom half is faded orange, with that dividing line being slightly curved downward, making the Sun appear really spherical. The sunlight is creating a faint wide ‘V’ shape above the Sun, where the clouds are slightly brighter. The water is a blue-gray scattered with darker shadows, except for closer in, where it is lighter blueish gray with the tiny waves churning near the shore. Some scattered parts of the water also catch and reflect the reddish tones from above. Most closely in, a shore of wet sand is reflecting pink and orange in a softly shiny strip. It’s all very symmetrical, seeming more like a painting than a photo.

And now we enter into All Hallow’s Eve, and thin is the veil between worlds.

A sky with clouds at sunset. The clouds are in horizontal layers, shades of amber, gold, purple, and reddish colors. A few thin strips of faded light blue at the top, and a line of dim bulbous charcoal gray clouds at the bottom.

“You guys want to go as ‘The Birds’?”

“Again? Aren’t you tired of that one?”

#Halloween

A slightly stylized (blue-ish and contrast-y) photo of a small dirt hill under gray overcast sky. There are sparse scrubby plants and gray dried plants scattered around on it. There is a collection of brown and gray cowbirds crouching all over it, facing in many different directions.
