On the #kitchener #gotransit train, and they have repudiated their $10 weekend pass. It doesn’t appear as activated any more on my phone. I can guess why, but they won’t. Just leaving a message in case they ship me off to the gulag. #banaldystopia
So I made it home without confrontation: the “no really we’re gonna do it!” increased-fines #fareinspection never made it to me.
If you leave your mobile #browser on Private mode day-to-day, view and activate the #gotransit pass (through “mozio.com”) and then lose your session for whatever reason, you’re guilty of a fare evasion(?)
It’s probably cookies or similar, a facile and brittle approach to a line-of-business problem.
Reminds me of the person who hacked their library card into Apple #wallet ‘cause they didn’t want to carry the physical card anymore. (I looked for the original story but couldn’t find it, maybe I imagined it, but wow there’s a lot of similar efforts since then.)
Anyway, good luck to #ontario with its digital IDs, at least Ford Nation insisted on still having cards while they’re still around.
