Btw. I'm not proactively looking for those fake accounts, they find me.
Me being a somewhat exposed account and having deactivated "Automatically accept new followers" leads to me spotting them when they request to follow me.
I encourage you to also deactivate automatic acceptance of new followers, see here for more info:

I don't use it to restrict my account, but to have an automatic reminder to screen new (to me) accounts :)
