Professional:
I build websites the "traditional" way. I’ve been building them for ~20yrs. Progressive Enhancement, HTML/CSS/JS, and accessible practices will always be core to quality work. Frameworks come and go.

Personal:
If I'm not looking back at my younger self and cringing a little, I stopped growing. I don't want to stop growing, so I've become comfortable with cringing.

- Care work ought to pay what tech work pays.
- Care work ought to pay its workers that, not its managers that.
- Care work shouldn't see managers driving around in brand new luxury cars while the staff scrape by month to month.

And if you think that's crazy; consider this:

- Care work is the *only* work that can't be outsourced to AI and automation.
- Care work is *fucking hard*.
- Every one of us will need it eventually.

And, frankly, care work matters far more than tech work.
