how about a DE-3?

d-shell connector, size E, but with 3 sockets instead of the usual 9. there is a plastic housing around it with the HP logo. it's mounted on a circuit board.

big ol' waffle connector. this one is used to connect IBM tape units to mainframe computers.

hand-sized square connector with 200 pins, not all of them populated.

not technically a connector but sometimes you need a 0.1" header jumper to skip a pin. so they have this thing for that.

3-pin header with a jumper on it. the jumper jumps over the middle pin.

oh i almost forgot this one. i couldn't find a DB-25 connector in my stuff when i was soldering up this board. i found a DB-23 instead 馃槵

a d-sub connector that is slightly narrower than a DB-25 on top of a circuit board where you can see that the footprint has two extra pins.
