Fellow typography nerds, we have a soft spot for great lettering and signage in the wild. Stopping to admire these works is a natural instinct.

So when we gather at events, someone usually organizes a type walk — an intentional route full of examples to admire.

Behold, the new typewalk.com! ”Typewalk is an open archive for recording lettering in public spaces. It treats signage as designed, site-specific and ephemeral cultural heritage, and makes it systematically searchable.”

Typewalk Typewalk – Lettering in public spaces Discover and document lettering in public spaces. Signs, shop windows and façades — connected by walks through the city.
