It's quite astonishing how many bugs keep popping up in GitHub these days, considering it's an established service by a major tech company.

Stuff that always worked fine keeps breaking. Recently they broke creating milestones, and links to milestones are still broken in places. Now they've broken comments, where lists sometimes render with the wrong bullets, and quoting has been completely broken for several days.

We all know why of course: this is slop.

I periodically feel the urge to get away from VSCode, so I've played around with Zed lately. It is nice and fast, but it lacks extensions I need, and is a little awkward to use. Then there's Neovim. I've set up a lot of configs for it to get it to a place where it is quite usable, but it is so *very* different. I may just keep it for those times I need a remote session.

I've come to realise that at my age, switching IDE is a bigger commitment than switching jobs. 😅

@fiskelandslaget Hva med noen på 73 som også syns at alt som smaker noe er for sterkt, og som godt kan finne på å skrelle båtpotetene på tallerkenen? 😅

“When #PatrickStewart was growing up in the 1940s, he witnessed how, after his father beat his mother, home doctors and ambulance workers would tell her: “You must have done something to provoke him.”

Stewart knew the violence was never warranted, a conviction that became the spark for a lasting commitment to campaigning for greater understanding of domestic abuse.”

Commanding stage presence, great actor; For me though, it’s the leadership shown on #DV that elevates Patrick beyond other actors and celebs. Using visibility and position of power. 🖖

I didn't get to post about Walter Koenig, who died last week, so let med add a RIP for him too now.

Patrick Stewart was the captain of my generation, so I knew Walter Koenig better from Babylon 5 than Star Trek TOS. It always makes me happy when he comes on screen, despite the character he plays. You can still see the person behind the character.

"I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived."

– Jean-Luc Picard (Star Trek Generations)

RIP Patrick Stewart

Fans across the world mourn the passing of a true and irreplaceable legend. As Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Patrick Stewart took the starship Enterprise to places it had never gone before, and he inspired a whole next generation of star-gazers who looked longingly ahead to a brighter future for all humanity. Our hearts are heavy, indeed. Rest in the heavens, Captain.

Barack #Obama, talking about Trump: "I don't know if you noticed, but he seems very focused on home renovations. He should be on HGTV," he said. “What’s up with the gold? Everything, more gold. He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory."

@benedicte Lykke til! Må prøve å komme meg på en NDC Security-konferanse igjen snart.
