After the third try, I got this dialog, but then it would just … not continue at all. This is on Safari on a modern Mac, mind you.

Next up I searched around and found a generic Apple account unlock page from apple, which sent me notifications to my phone to unlock the account! “Fantastic” I thought, only to be denied at the last step yet again!

@daniel You really need to be very slow in between clicks. I get this a couple of times a month and the only way is click, wait for a bit (but not too long so the session doesn’t expire) then click the next thing etc. I believe @siracusa recently posted about being stuck in a similar daily account recovery routine as well.
