That's pretty much a daily thing now *sigh*

@veronica I'm left speechless when otherwise "very serious about IP and security" teams then go use tools like VSCode/Zed (editors that run yolo npm commands behind the scenes) with the only safety barrier being that somehow the marketplace can protect them. (A fallacy I believe Apple initiated with the marketing around the App Store).

Same with skills/MCP plugins etc for the bots (which auto update even in some cases...).

InfoSec is just vibes at the moment 馃槀

@iamkonstantin Heh, yeah. I'm getting very uncomfortable with using VSCode these days. I've been playing around with neovim a little.

@veronica Oh nice! I hope you find happiness there :D. I prefer more turn-key setup - gram-editor.com/ 鈽猴笍

GRAM Gram is an open source code editor with built-in support for many popular languages. Gram is an opinionated fork of the Zed code editor.

@iamkonstantin Interesting. I tested Zed a little too, but I could never get it configured the way I like.

@veronica Yeah, it is "opinionated". What I like about Gram is that it brings absolutely no AI in the editor (not even highlights and suggestions) - I find the noise too much when I'm coding by hand and it also turns off auto-extension installations and updates. That was what won me over :D
