There is no such thing as misandry in a violently patriarchal world. A patriarchal world that is openly protecting and hiding known pedophiles and rapists.

There is no “stereotype” when 97% of documented rapes in America are at the hands of a man. Predominantly WHITE men. Some ARE IN PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE.

If women do not want to share their space with you, you check the reason why. You WILL NOT BLAME WOMEN FOR WANTING TO PROTECT THEMSELVES.

These locker rooms aren’t in a field somewhere formed by the erosion of wind and rain; they’re in buildings owned by institutions that often as not have well earned track records of enabling abusers and covering up sexual assault. I don’t know how many women out there hate men per-se, but I know plenty that hate the institutions we’ve create that shelter and empower the worst behaviours of the worst of us, and that sure seems like a reasonable way to feel.

@mhoye @ErickaSimone This. This is what I was trying to say. That the way things are can change. And that men have to change it. And that it is in the best interests of (nonrapey) men to change it. I started in a weird spot in that conversation because I was emotional that they let a trans woman die and that none of this could have prevented any of MY rapes.
