I came for the photos and I stayed for the community. "You all are like each other's cheerleaders on here." -my husband aka coffeemaker. Photos my own, CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, taken on my phone. #NoBot#NoIndex#NoGenAI
I’m trying to be more mindful about music I listen to. Sometimes I just shuffle through all the songs I’ve ever favorited, largely to block out other noises. A few days ago, I woke up with a fun bouncy(*) song in my head, but I had no idea who it was. Well it came back on to my shuffle today, so I took note, and listened to more by the artist. It was The Dream, by Birdtalker (*) Like, literally makes me bounce.
Been working on a laser engraving I want to put onto a pocket mirror the last few days. This is a collection of 3D models that I outlined using the Inverse Hull method and then cut out everything but the outlines.
Remains to be seen how it will look engraved, but I think it's kinda cool just by itself like this. Might experiment more with this kind of outline style.
Finally managed some longer walks this week just in time to see some Clear Creek Trail's fall golds & yellows. Over the past 4 yrs I've taken a photo at this location around the same date & time of day when the sun lights up my favorite maple (center frame).
I’ll be bringing a small selection of my #pottery pieces to Sunnyside tomorrow, by the Greenmarket on Skillman. It’ll be mostly Japanese #tea cups, #coffee mugs and bowls, plus some tiny ring/incense dishes.
Come say hi if you’re in the neighborhood, and maybe do a little holiday shopping early for the #ceramics and #food lovers in your life? 🙂
@stephanie Are you still having dysgeusia? I just started taking a medicine yesterday that's giving it to me. I read that zinc supplements can help. Have you found anything helpful?
The Owly sulfur or Libellen-Schmetterlingshaft is rare in Germany but increasingly more common as you travel south. They are fearsome predators, both as larvae (antlions) and adults.
